Slimming World Dinners

Hello everyone I have been doing a lot of home cooking lately so I thought I would share a couple with you. I have been doing slimming world for a few months now and it has taught me how much sugar and extra additives and preservatives we don't even realise are in processed food so I prefer to make my own meals. A healthy lifestyle doesn't mean just eating fruits salads and vegetables and starving yourself. infact that is why most diets don't work for people, you end up feeling hungry and snacking.

If you have 3 big healthy meals a day and each of them are a healthy option with fruit, salad, vegetables and the right carbohydrates and protein you will soon start to notice a difference. Each meal will fill you up and leave you full until your next meal. Also by doing this you get your 5 a day easy.

Breakfast is the most important meal as it starts your metabolism up to break down food intake through out the day. If you are like me and cant afford the subscriptions to slimming world then you can just use the recipes online to make you own healthy decisions and cook with low fat products and oil.

Here is a list of different speed foods. speed food is fruit and vegetables that speeds up your metabolism so if eaten regularly and cooperated into each meal will speed up your weight loss. search online for other websites for better explanations. Dried pasta and rice is also syn free on slimming world so you can use this in your meals to fill yourself up.

  6. Serve with any dried pasta of choice

I had lettuce, spinach and cucumber with mine but I also like to have it with broccoli and green beans.
my daughter also loves all my home made meals and I am a lot happier knowing what it is she is eating.

Hope someone gets a little inspiration from this to start healthy eating and controlling a healthy lifestyle. I will be doing another post on breakfast ideas and an example of my weekly food diary.

TIP- I use the app "lose it" to log all of my food and it tells me how many calories I have had through out the day and is a really good visual way of seeing how many calories each food product contains and it becomes fun to try and make your daily calorie intake lower than the last day. Good luck
